Suid Cargo Airlines: The new cargo airline is born
The South African aeronautics industry is preparing to welcome a new player, called Suid Cargo Airlines. The airline is expected to start operations in the second quarter of this year.
South Africa’s new cargo airline was created to meet the growing demand for cargo services in that country and across the continent. The Johannesburg-based company will mainly focus on transporting goods such as perishable goods, industrial equipment and pharmaceuticals.
The company’s management team has extensive experience in the aviation sector and has already obtained the necessary regulatory approvals to operate in the country. Suid Cargo Airlines plans to operate to multiple destinations in Africa and beyond, providing reliable and cost-effective cargo transportation services.
According to Thomas Honiball, CEO of the airline, the latter will begin operations using Boeing aircraft from Astral Aviation. The Boeing 737-400F and the Boeing 767-200F are the two types of aircraft that will be leased initially. These aircraft are renowned for their reliability, efficiency and cargo-carrying capabilities, making them an ideal choice for a new cargo airline.
Suid Cargo Airlines is committed to providing its customers with world-class service. The company plans to invest in state-of-the-art cargo handling facilities, advanced tracking technologies and highly trained personnel to ensure cargo is delivered on time, safely and efficiently.
