From London Gatwick, Norse Atlantic Airways serves Cape Town in winter
In a bold expansion of its destination network, Norse Atlantic Airways has announced the launch of direct flights between London Gatwick and Cape Town, establishing a promising new route between Europe and South Africa. Starting October 28 this year, the Norwegian airline will offer three weekly flights, making travel between these two cosmopolitan cities easier.
Norse Atlantic’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner will depart from London Gatwick every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday at 8:00 p.m., arriving at Cape Town Airport the following day at 9:30 a.m. The return flight will depart Cape Town at 11:45am, providing travelers with a comfortable and quick non-stop experience.
These new flights are now open for booking with attractive prices, starting at £499 (approximately R11,800) for Economy Class and £1,199 (approximately R28,500) for Premium Class. These prices are particularly competitive, especially when compared to competitors such as British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, providing an affordable alternative for travelers wishing to explore South Africa or return to Europe.
The Norwegian operator’s fleet, exclusively composed of modern Boeing 787 Dreamliners, is designed to offer comfort and efficiency. Passengers have a choice between two cabin classes – Economy and Norse Premium. Additionally, several fare options are available, such as Light, Classic and Flextra, allowing travelers to choose the baggage allowance, meal options and ticket flexibility that best suit them.
