To cancel a flight ticket offered by South African Airways, you will only need to go to the website of this airline, and identify yourself to your space passenger by entering your last name and reservation reference, where you can cancel your reservation with one click.
Based on the request received, the seats on the flights indicated in the tickets will be canceled, after which it will be impossible to cancel the return of tickets / return seats.
Any additional services related to the airline tickets specified for reimbursement will also be reimbursed.

During the booking process these flights are marked in green and if you wish to cancel any of these flights you will need to do so by phone, only on the day of ticket purchase and during South African Airways operating hours .
Please note, if you make the request outside of these time slots, normal pricing conditions apply. Sometimes, it will be possible to cancel your reservation online from your Manage Reservation area.
What are the cancellation fees?
The costs of canceling a plane ticket depend on the type of ticket. Generally, for a scheduled flight, cancellation after ticket issuance is subject to a 100% charge.
Request reimbursement for the cost of a canceled flight or change your travel dates
You can cancel a confirmed South African Airways booking if you have already paid for it and are free to do so within 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. If this is not possible, please contact your carrier as soon as possible.
In order to modify a reserved flight, you must first cancel this reservation by contacting its customer service (contact page). Once they receive your cancellation request, they will process it within 24 hours.
Please note: the following services are not refundable:
– Tickets not refundable, or not including cancellation insurance
– Reservations made through third parties such as airlines, hotels, car rental companies, etc.
The cancellation period begins when you submit your cancellation request. Please note that any change of travel date may result in a change in the amount charged for the new trip.
Cancellation and refund policies vary by airline. They are detailed in their respective South African Airways terms of sale.
In the event of cancellation, you have three days from receipt of the written notice to reschedule your trip without penalty. If you fail to do so, the airline will charge the full price of the tickets plus any other costs incurred.
Please note that if you wish to change your return date, the new date must be within 14 days of the original purchase date, otherwise charges may apply. Please see its General Conditions of Sale for more information.
If you would like to change your reservation after the payment process has been completed, please contact your carrier’s customer service department. You cannot book on behalf of another person.
Cancel an airline ticket reservation for personal reasons, such as a change of plan or a missed connection. You can cancel any time before the scheduled departure date and up to 24 hours after that date. Refunds are not available on tickets purchased with gift certificates.
