Delta Air Lines flies to Cape Town from Atlanta

Delta Air Lines has just enriched its flight network with a new destination. This is Cape Town, the city and capital of South Africa which will be served from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson airport three times a week.
Three weekly flights will be posted in the DAL schedule throughout the upcoming winter season.

The inaugural flight will take off on December 17, 2022. An A350-900 aircraft will be deployed on this route.

The service to Cape Town is in addition to that provided by Delta Air Lines to Johannesburg, which offers six weekly frequencies from its base at Atlanta airport.

On this route, Delta Air Lines faces indirect competition from the other American company United Airlines, which has announced the launch of direct flights to Cape Town from Washington. Operations on this axis will begin on November 18, in the A350-900.
