Delta Air Lines offers direct flights to Cape Town

Delta Air Lines inaugurated two weeks ago a new air line to Cape Town. His third to South Africa.

Already offering direct flights from its base at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to Johannesburg-OR Tambo, the American airline is launching a new connection to the African destination.

Since the reopening of the South African skies (after the end of the pandemic), Delta Air Lines has shown significant growth on its airlines to South Africa.

The American carrier has been serving flights to Johannesburg for a few days. Its recently opened airline will enable it to increase its capacity to the country of Nelson Mandela by more than 70%.

Flights to the destination and port city of South Africa are operated by A350-900 which is deployed from Atlanta airport three times a week

As a reminder, Delta first landed at Cape Town – Hartsfield-Jackson airport in 2009 serving flights with a stopover in Dakar in Senegal, however, the service was suspended due to low demand on the road.
