South African Airways spreads its wings between Johannesburg and Abidjan

South African Airways recently expanded its network by launching regular flights to Abidjan, Ivory Coast. This Ivorian metropolis thus becomes the twelfth international destination served by the South African carrier from its hub at OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg.

The inaugural flight of this new route took place on November 14, marking a significant step in SAA’s strategic expansion in West Africa. Now travelers can enjoy this essential connection with three weekly flights operating on the A340-300.

The schedule of these scheduled flights is designed to offer maximum flexibility to passengers. Departures from Johannesburg are scheduled on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:55 a.m.

Return flights from Abidjan-Félix Houphouët Boigny to Johannesburg are also operated on the same days, at 6:00 p.m.

This expansion to Abidjan is part of South African Airways’ desire to strengthen its presence in West Africa and consolidate its reputation as a leading air carrier on the continent.
